Right on Time
If your experience is anything like mine, you find yourself wondering from time to time how God is going to come through in your life, especially in times of difficulty and questioning. I have found that God is never late, rarely early, but always RIGHT ON TIME!
God knows that we would rather walk by sight and what is safe rather than to have to wait on Him. I find that so often He takes me right down to the wire when I am waiting for an answer. I get the distinct impression that He is never going to let me off of the faith hook. He knows that if He answers every prayer the way I want and when I want, it would ruin me.
It is so easy to become independent and self-sufficient. God loves us so much, and He desires to lead us into an ever-deepening love relationship with Him and with others. As I look back, I am grateful for how he has not answered according to my desires and timetables. If He did, I would probably not be here in Green Bay with my family right now.
William Carey, the father of missions in India, said, "God gives His best to those who leave the decision up to Him." I have found this to be true time and time again. God gives good gifts. In order to recognize them and receive them, we must not only grow in faith, but also in trust.
We have a Heavenly Father who has His best interest in mind for our lives, and His plan is way better than anything I could ever devise with my limited perspective. Let's take whatever is of concern to us right now and take it to Jesus because He loves us and He has the ability to transform us and heal us by His power made manifest in our lives by the Holy Spirit who indwells everyone who believes in Jesus and is born again (John 3:1-18).
I am so grateful to God for you and for how he has brought us here to serve Him with you at just the right time!
Hebrews 13:5 (NIV) Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you."
In Christ,
Doug |

Help for the Homeless and The Giving Tree
Food & Hygiene Items Drive
March 7-31
Green Bay Community Church
This tough economy is hitting area homeless shelters and food pantries very hard. Many non-profit organizations are finding it difficult to meet the minimal needs of the most impoverished people in our community. To help ease their burden, GBCC is working in conjunction with WEMI/WEMY Radio, Affinity Health, Festival Foods, and Thrivent Financial. We will be collecting hygiene products for 36 area homeless shelters as well as non-perishable food items to stock the shelves of The Giving Tree Food Pantry.
You can drop off donated items in the collection boxes in the vestibules starting March 7. Click here for a list of needed items or pick up a list in one of the brochure racks. Click on these links for more information about Help for the Homeless and The Giving Tree.

Group Life
One of the greatest longings of the human heart is to belong: to know others and be known by others; it's the way God intended us to live.
Group Life provides opportunities for
individuals to experience a sense of belonging, to grow together on our spiritual journeys, and to serve others.
While each type of group (Interest, Care, Discovery, Life, and Serving) provides a different opportunity to connect, all are designed around our vision of attracting people to Christ and building community.
No matter where you choose to plug in, there is a place for you in Group Life.
